The Ocean Optics Red Tide Spectrometer is a preconfigured, off-the-shelf spectrometerwhere all of the optical bench options such as grating, and entrance slit size are alreadyselected. The red Tide can be used with various Ocean optics spectrometer accessories, lightsources and sampling optics to create application-specific systems for various absorbance, reflection and emission applications. The Red Tide is low-cost and has a small footprint, making it ideal as a general purposeinstrument for budget-conscious teaching and research labs. It has a wavelength range of350–1000 nm and uses adetector with 650 active pixels; that’s 650 data points in one full spectrum, or one data pointper nanometer.Data programmed into a memory chip on each Red Tide includes wavelength calibrationcoefficients, linearity coefficients, and the serial number unique to each spectrometer. Ourspectrometer operating software simply reads these values from the spectrometer — a featurethat enables hot swapping of spectrometers among computers. The Red Tide Spectrometer connects to a computer via the USB port. When connectedthrough a USB 2.0 or 1.1, the spectrometer draws power from the host computer, eliminatingthe need for an external power supply. The Red Tide also interfaces to Pasco’s Xplorer GLX,a unique combination of datalogger and lab analysis tool that eliminates the need for acomputer. The Red Tide, like all USB devices, can be controlled by our SpectraSuite software, acompletely modular, Java-based spectroscopy software platform that operates on Windows,Macintosh and Linux operating systems.

MPROBE 20 UVVis Thickness measurement systemMProbe20 UVViS is a desktop system for high precision measurement of thickness and refractive index of thin films. It is especially useful in measuring thickness and optical constants of materials with absorption edge in UV range. For example, metal oxide like TiO2, ZnO, etc. Measuring very thin films (< 50nm) is another application where UV range gives advantage. MProbe 20 UVVis capabilities overlap with that of MProbe 20 Vis system. But in these two applications UVVis system has an advantage over Vis system. MProbe 20 UVVis system is primarily used for R&D applications.

10mm active, SMA Connector, 110ps FWHM, 5K gain Photek's range of photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) provide solutions for analysing ultra fast optical phenomena in a range of applications, including LiDAR, nuclear physics and time correlated photon counting. Photek manufactures 10, 25, and 40 mm PMTs with a variety of photocathodes having high sensitivity in the UV, visible and NIR spectrum. A number of MCP confi gurations are available to ensure that Photek's PMTs satisfy all user gain requirements. Photek's PMTs are the fastest in the world with pulse rise times down to 60 ps and pulse FWHM down to 100 ps. For applications where fast gating is required, the Photek photomultipiers can provide gated speeds to 2 ns.
